During the last few years it’s more and more talk about the crisis of made in Italy. All the experts indicate like magic solution the research and innovation in order to contrast the new unstoppable competition.

Traditionally the terms “research and innovation” in the design or technology field aren’t spontaneously associates to Rome city and its territory. And just for that, the company ELSHINE represent a pleasant surprise, which invite to reconsider the truth of the small businesses that operates around, valuing fantasy and creative risk, historical motive winners of the Italian design.

Been born and developed originally for the production of luminous electro-piloted films, ELSHINE has matured experience in this electro controlled films field on which it works from years, and are entrusted to the collaboration of a design manager like Ely Rozenberg, which understand new employs for this lighting systems with originally symbiosis with the glass, where this ancient material full of light, following itself the fantasy of the authors. The luminous source lend itself to decorative variations that, as the collections you weave them can be renewed on every season.

In occasion of Euroluce 2007 Milan Fair, ELSHINE introduced the first studies and developments for the electro-controlled luminous film stratified on glass implemented on furniture and lighting systems. It is revealed therefore to the attention of the public and the press a collection of furniture and lamps realized with an unique innovative technology, that allows luminous effects never applied on this field.

The last developments of this continue research give life to the new production, the “LUXCITING” collection, designed by ELY ROZENBERG, introduced on 2009 at Frankfurt Ambinet Fair, representing an innovative challenge in the Italian design panorama.

A waste collection of lamps and furnishings complements is offered to the public visitor like a magic scenography, where the luminous decoration is absolutely grafted in the glass furniture series, characterized from a philosophy of the design where style and technology join in delicate way, invisible, creating cinematographic effects which capture also the distracted look.

It’s related to a series of lighting furniture’s and ambient lamps with surface in glass that literally changes light by day or night when they are ignited of geometric reasons, that seems light embroidery.

This kind of technology allows to create custom modules of the electro-controlled surface, therefore are not only screen plates with templates applied on it that create motifs, but printed light on the glassed materials.

“LUXCITING” it’s only the beginning of a new way to create the glass and the light, considering that the applicative potentialities are unlimited.
Moving itself from the furnishing to the contemporary urban planning it is not difficult to imagine not only the own house or office, but the entire city as a new scene of glass lighting buildings, with motifs designed and easily replaced.
